Introducing an Exclusive Cecchetti Diploma Intensive
Diane van Schoor, FISTD, Master Teacher and International Examiner, will present an intensive Enrico Cecchetti [Final] Diploma Course. This is the culmination of the study of the Cecchettti Method of training in classical ballet and is designed for professional students, dancers, and teachers.
The course will offer five days of in-depth study with Ms. van Schoor, who is currently Ballet Principal of the Royal Ballet School, White Lodge, London, England. The all-encompassing Diploma work will enhance knowledge of attendees and emphasize development of strength of technique, movement dynamics, musicality and style.
This is an extraordinary opportunity to study with a highly regarded International Examiner and Principal Ballet Faculty member of prestigious international schools including the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Paris Opera Ballet School, the National Ballet of Canada, the Vaganova Academy, and the Royal Ballet.
There will also be non-syllabus free/theatre classes for professional dancers/students and teachers, demonstrating the incorporation of the syllabus to emphasize essential qualities and requirements for today's professional dancer.
The course will embrace the teaching of the Diploma syllabus/work and the concept of teaching according to The Days of the Week. Diane will also present lectures on various technical and artistic aspects of pedagogy, such as the importance of leg rotation [turnout], Port de Bras and Pirouettes and Allegro.
